Party chairman P J Joseph announced ECI's approval during the concluding session of the two-day state camp of its leaders held at Charalkunnu in Pathanamthitta on Tuesday.

According to party leaders, party will get 'autorickshaw' as its symbol in the next stage. "We have already submitted a request for approving autorickshaw as our party's election symbol. We hope to get a favourable decision in this regard soon," said a party leader.

During the two-day camp, the party initiated efforts to mobilise its rank and file ahead of the polls. Discussions were held to create an action plan to prepare the party and its feeder organisations for the local body elections. The district-level camps for election preparation will be held in April and May in the coming days.
