Proposal to Upgrade Ashramam ESI Hospital to Medical College Approved

The ESI Board of Directors has approved the upgradation of the Kollam ESI Model Hospital at Ashramam into a medical college.
The decision was taken at the board's recent meeting held in Shimla, chaired by Union Health Minister and ESI Board chairman Mansukh Mandaviya.
The move follows the minister's earlier in-principle approval to upgrade the hospital. The Kollam facility is part of a broader plan to establish 10 new ESI medical colleges across the country.
