Man Hacked to Death After Hurling Bombs at House in Karunagappally

Memana native taken into custody on suspicion of providing the vehicle used in the attacks
IN A SUSPECTED case of gang rivalry, a Karunagappally resident was hacked to death, and another man was seriously injured in separate attacks by four gang members early Thursday. The Karunagappally police have registered a case under Section 333 (house trespass with intent to cause harm or assault) of the BNS.
The deceased, identified as Santhosh, lived with his mother, Omana. Police suspect that after attacking him, the gang travelled to Vavvakavu in Oachira, where they assaulted another youth, Aneer, in front of a roadside eatery.
A Memana native has been taken into custody on suspicion of providing the vehicle used in the attacks, and the car has been seized. Police said the accused abandoned the vehicle near the Memana region after the incident.
