Vijil's death: Accused on run held in Telangana

IN A significant breakthrough, the second accused in the six-year-old missing and death case of Chungam native K T Vijil has been arrested by a joint team of Elathur police and deputy police commissioner Arun K Pavithran's crime squad.
The police apprehended Ranjith, 39, in Khammam, Telangana, while he was attempting to evade capture.
The arrest marks a crucial development in a case that was reignited last month when investigators once again questioned Vijil's friends about his disappearance on March 24, 2019.
