SREEKANDAPURAM welcomed a wave of excitement on Monday as the much-anticipated cultural festival 'Sreelayam 24,' organised by the municipality, officially began.
Designed to infuse the city with a festive atmosphere, the event promises to captivate residents and visitors alike with a vibrant mix of programmes running until December 31.
The festival is set to transform the city into a hub of activity, offering a range of attractions such as amusement rides, entertainment programmes, book fairs, food exhibitions and a flower and fruit fair.
Events like a women's writers' forum, theatre workers' gathering and the Kudumbashree product marketing fair will be organised.
The main venue for amusement rides has been set up on the grounds adjacent to Muthappan temple near the bus stand area.
