THE Kasaragod District Additional Sessions Court sentenced six persons convicted of brutally murdering Abdul Salam, 27, a resident of Peral, in 2017 to life imprisonment on Monday.

The accused - Siddique, alias Mangamudi Siddique, 39, of Badria Nagar in Kumbla, Umar Farooq, 29, of Badria Nagar, Saheer, 32, of Pervadu, Niyaz, 31, of Peral, Latif, 36, of Pervadu and Harish, 29, of Bombrana, Arikkadi - were also fined ₹1.5 lakh each.

Salam was murdered on April 30, 2017, following a feud over the attack on Siddique's house. The court had found the six accused guilty of murder on December 21.
