MLA comes to rescue of endosulfan victim's family

LIVING with the constant challenges of raising a child battling the debilitating effects of endosulfan, a family of Meenja grama panchayat teetered on the brink of homelessness as they faced the sale of their only home due to a lapsed housing loan until Manjeshwar MLA A K M Ashraf intervened with a promise to repay the debt, bringing much-needed relief and averting disaster.

A K M Ashraf said, "My visit to their home revealed the extent of their hardship. Compelled to help, I worked with the bank to lower the loan amount, and then pledged to both the family and the bank that I would personally cover the remaining debt."
