CELEBRATIONS, joy, and huge relief. That was the mood in the team camp as Kerala entered the semifinals of the Ranji Trophy, the marquee domestic cricket tournament, for just the second time after getting the better of Jammu & Kashmir on the strength of a one-run first innings lead in Pune on Wednesday.

Kerala batted out the entire final day to earn a well-deserved draw after being set a stiff target of 399 in the second innings.

Kerala had earlier entered the Ranji Trophy semifinals in the 2018-19 season where they lost to eventual winners Vidarbha in Wayanad. The team, led by Sachin Baby, will face Gujarat in Ahmedabad on February 17.
