Kannur MCH to expand facilities, to renew trauma care unit design

Upgraded design to be submitted to KIIFB for approval; 85% work at MCH completed

IN AN effort to enhance healthcare services and meet the growing needs of the public, Kannur Medical College is expanding its facilities.

As part of this initiative, the health department secretary has announced the renewal of the architectural design for the proposed trauma care unit. The upgraded design will soon be submitted for financial approval, marking a key step in the college's development plans.

The revised plan, part of the comprehensive development project, will soon be submitted to the Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB) for financial approval. According to the health department, 85% of the hospital's various maintenance and renovation works have already been completed, with the remaining work progressing at a fast pace.
