EXCISE and District In-charge Minister RB Timmapur has underlined the importance of raising children to be well-cultured individuals, saying that the true education lies in shaping people to become good humans. "Scoring good marks alone is not enough. Children should grow up with strong values and a deep connection to our culture," he said.
He spoke after inaugurating 'Pratibha Puraskar' to felicitate the children of artists, writers, journalists on Sunday. The event was jointly hosted by the district units of the Kannada Sahitya Parishad, District Union of Working Union of Working Journalists' and Karnataka Janapada Parishad.
