SECURITY has been enhanced at the Krishnaraja Sagar Reservoir as per government directions in the wake of India's ongoing Operation Sindoor.

- K SHIVA KUMAR @Mysuru

The Krishnaraja Sagar Reservoir is one of the prominent reservoirs that is considered to be a lifeline for Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and other southern states.

The famous Brindavan Gardens at the KRS is also one of the top attractions for tourists from across the country. Summer vacations have also increased footfall of tourists from across the region to have a glimpse of the illuminated garden and the musical fountain.

Though the Central Industrial Security Force has taken over the security of the reservoirs, including KRS, the defunct CCTV cameras, lack of facilities to screen the vehicles visiting the Brindavan Gardens, poor illumination in the vicinity and staff crunch have turned out to be a hindrance.
