IMPROVING rural road connectivity should be the first step towards the comprehensive development of backward taluks, as it plays a crucial role in uplifting agriculturally dependent communities, said J.T. Patil, Chairman of Hatti Gold Mines Corporation and MLA of the Bilagi constituency.
He was speaking at the Bagalkot district-level consultation meeting of the High-Powered Committee on Wednesday for Redressing Regional Imbalances, constituted as per the Dr. D.M. Nanjundappa Report.
