Deval Ganagapur to be developed under Rs 200 crore master plan

DC says basic objective of plan is to enhance beautification of temple and town as a whole

The district administration has prepared a master plan at an estimated cost of Rs 200 crore for the comprehensive development of Deval Ganagapur shrine housing the famous Sri Dattatreya Temple in Afzalpur taluk of Kalaburagi district, on the model of Kashi Corridor.

DC Fouzia Taranum prepared the master plan a few months back, visited the holy shrine on Saturday and clarified that the government has not neglected the development of the shrine. The Deputy Commissioner said that the basic objective of the master plan is to increase the beautification of the temple and the town as a whole, including the development of four-lane roads, Sangam and Ashta Tirtha places, drainage, establishment of STP units, civic amenities, and provision of infrastructure for the convenience of devotees.
