Cong to Yatnal: Publicly apologise for Prophet remarks

IN a massive protest held against Vijayapura MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal for his defamatory statement on Prophet Mohammad on Monday, prominent Congress leaders including Minister Shivanand Patil condemned Yatnal and demanded public apology for his remarks.
Thousands of people who gathered at B. R. Ambedkar circle of the city, raised slogans against Yatnal amid the speeches of leaders including Minister Shivanand Patil, MLAs, Yeshwantraidgouda Patil, Ashok Managuli, Vithal Katakadonda and prominent Muslim leaders.
The leaders who spoke strongly condemned the statement of Yatnal, calling it completely absurd, aimed at creating communal divide and insulting the religious sentiments of Muslims.
