BJP MP blames State for blocking sugar factory loans

ACCUSING the State government of not giving guarantee to sugar factories for the loan the Union government is ready to offer, BJP MP Ramesh Jigajinagi has said that the state government is not ready to come to the rescue of sugar factories that are in dire need of financial assistance.
Speaking after laying the foundation stone for the flyover at Ibrahimpur-Ganesh Nagar Cross on Tuesday, he wondered why the State government showed no concern for the sugar factories that are meant to help sugarcane farmers.
"The government is giving guarantees from its side to the factory owners who are receiving financial assistance from the Centre. But in Karnataka, the Congress is not giving any guarantee, which is depriving the factory owners from getting a loan from the Centre," he said.
