BELAGAVI district was honored with five awards, including the prestigious Amrit Sarovar District Award under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) programme for the year 2023-24.
The awards were presented at the NREGA Festival-2025 ceremony held at the Dr B R Ambedkar Memorial Trust in Vasanth Nagar, Bengaluru on Wednesday. Legislative Council chairman Basavaraj Horatti and Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Minister Priyanka Kharge presented the awards to Belagavi Zilla Panchay
