Apex court slams CM again, reserves order on MLA defections

FOR the second consecutive day, the Supreme Court on Thursday slammed Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy for his remarks on byelections on the floor of the Telangana Assembly even as it reserved its orders on a plea filed by BRS leaders KT Rama Rao and Padi Kaushik Reddy.
The BRS leaders have moved the apex court seeking direction to the Speaker for a timely decision on disqualification proceedings pending against 10 MLAs who have shifted allegiance to the ruling Congress in the state.
During the hearing on Thursday, a two-judge bench of the top court comprising justices BR Gavai and Augustine George Masih once again criticised Revanth for his statement.
