A RESEARCH team from Vijayanagara has discovered a fascinating rock art and musical stones at Karikallu Hill, located near Devalapura village, of Ballari district. The hill is close to Appalappana lake and near the lake, a watchtower was built to see wild animals. These rocks, believed to be dated back to around 3,000 BC, are adorned with ancient carvings, including beautiful depictions of humans and animals, along with its intriguing musical quality.
