BJP Slams Rahul's EC Jibe, Says 'Congress Attacking Constitutional Institutions'

RAHUL Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, on Friday came under fire from the ruling BJP after accusing the Election Commission of India (ECI) of poll fraud.

Criticising Gandhi for "tarnishing" the image of the constitutional institution, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan referred to him as a "bayan-bahadur" (a person who is brave in making baseless statements). The minister accused him of indulging in a systematic and deliberate attack on the EC as part of "a wider conspiracy against India's constitutional bodies and the Constitution itself".
