West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday visited the riot-hit Murshidabad district for the first time since the communal clashes broke out last month.
She accused the BJP-led Central government of orchestrating violence in the area and spreading a "heavily loaded communal virus in the country". She urged the Centre to focus on protecting the country's borders and bringing the perpetrators of the Pahalgam terror attack to book instead.
