Anomalies in CM breakfast scheme to be rectified

AFTER being alerted by TNIE, Collector KM Sarayu inquired about breakfast not being provided under the CM's breakfast scheme at the Panchayat Union Primary School (PUPS) in T Palayur tribal hamlet near Kelamangalam on Saturday.

On Monday, Kelamangalam Block Development Officer Sathish Babu, PA to Collector (noon-meal) Rajasekar, Kelamangalam Block Education Officer Govindappa inspected the school.

The Personal Assistant to Collector (noon meal in-charge) V Rajasekar said, "As directed by the collector, we inspected the school and found that two members of the self-help-group failed to cook on Saturday. After inquiry, they will be removed from work and new persons will be appointed. An explanation was also sought from two block level coordinators for failing to report the incident."
