Residents from Bilichi in Coimbatore North taluk have opposed the opening of a bar attached to a Tasmac shop in the locality. They submitted a petition in this regard with the Collector on Monday.
The said liquor outlet - shop number 1642 - is on Onnipalayam Main Road at Bilichi Panchayat in Periyanaickenpalayam Union. The petition pointed to the proximity of educational institutions and residences in the vicinity of the Tasmac outlet.
