Private Schools Violate Norms, Demand Fees From RTE Admission

PARENTS who admitted their children under the 25% quota in private matriculation schools through the Right to Education (RTE) Act are worried as some schools are forcing them to pay fees, ignoring the recent order of the school education department.
K Pannerselvam, a parent from Sirumugai said his daughter, a Class 4 student at a private school who got admission under the RTE Act, has been asked by the school authorities to pay a tuition fee of ₹23,000.
