Couple Attempting Self-Immolation With Kid Rescued

A major tragedy was averted in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday when Commissionerate Police rescued a distressed couple attempting self-immolation along with their seven-year-old daughter over her deteriorating health and lack of adequate medical support.
Police said the couple, from Kotasingha village in Boudh district, were preparing to set themselves ablaze on Mahatma Gandhi Marg near the state Assembly.
