Tourism Minister inspects Rushikonda Beach, vows to uphold int'l hygienic standards

TOURISM, Culture and Cinematography Minister inspected facilities at Rushikonda Beach in Visakhapatnam following the renewal of the Blue Flag Certification on Thursday.

He announced plans to extend Blue Flag certification to more beaches in the State and promote eco, adventure, and wellness tourism.

Accompanied by Bheemili MLA Ganta Srinivasa Rao, Visakhapatnam District Collector Harendhira Prasad, and Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Commissioner Ketan Garg, Durgesh interacted with beach vendors and lifeguards, assuring solutions to the issues they raised. He affirmed that the efforts would continue to maintain the standards required for the Blue Flag certification. He also announced that beautification initiatives to enhance the beach's appeal and boost tourist activity.
