AVIATION regulator, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), has agreed to form a committee that will prescribe revised medical parameters for pilots operating civilian aircrafts in India, the Airline Pilots Association of India (ALPA) has said.

According to the pilots body the panel would be in line with the standards and recommendations of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO).
The move followed a grievance raised by the association that mandatory medical evaluations done by the DGCA's empanelled centres were inconsistent with the international body's recommendations.
