PRIVATE schools across Nellore district and the Rayalaseema region are rapidly switching from the State Board to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) curriculum, driven by rising parental demand for national-level exam readiness and perceived academic advantages.

- D SURENDRA KUMAR @Nellore

Once firm proponents of the State syllabus, corporate educational institutions have realigned their focus to tap into the growing belief that CBSE equips students better for competitive exams such as IIT-JEE, NEET and the Civil Services.

"Most parents are no longer satisfied with basic education. They are looking ahead to IITs, AIIMS, and administrative services," said Principal R Subramaniam of a leading private school in Nellore. "They see CBSE as a launchpad for their children's aspirations."
