SC extends Nawab Malik's interim bail by 6 months

THE Supreme Court on Thursday extended by six months the interim bail of former Maharashtra minister and senior Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Nawab Malik in a money laundering case.

A two-judge Supreme Court bench, led by Justice Bela M Trivedi and also comprising Justice Pankaj Mithal passed the order to extend Malik's interim bail for six months till July 10 on health grounds. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) probing the case did not raise any objection to it.
The apex court passed the order, taking into after consideration his health condition. Malik had filed an application seeking a direction to extend his interim bail, which was allowed by the court.
