EXACTLY one year and three days ago during a Super Four match of the Asia Cup albeit in T20 format, a video of an elderly fan bowing down to Virat Kohli in appreciation went viral. While the fan's reaction won million hearts, for Kohli it was a relieving moment at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. He had just ended a century drought of 1020 days by hammering 61-ball 122 against Afghanistan.

The match played on September 8, 2022 might have been inconsequential for India as by then they had already be knocked out of the tournament but it turned the tide for Kohli helping him rediscover his mojo just ahead of the T20 World Cup.
