INDIA bloc fighting a close poll, to decide PM face after June 4: Rahul

CONGRESS leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday said the INDIA bloc is fighting a "close contest" in the Lok Sabha elections and the alliance will decide its prime ministerial face jointly after it wins the polls.
Hitting out at the BJP for its 'mission 400' campaign, the former Congress president said the NDA's 2024 campaign will meet the same fate as that of 'India Shining' in 2004. "It is a much closer contest than what is propagated by the media," Gandhi said at the Congress manifesto launch.
"It is a close election and we are going to fight an excellent election and we are going to win the election," Gandhi said. He said there was a similar campaign was run by the press when Atal Bihari Vajpayee was the prime minister in 2004.
