Govt consent mandatory for CBI for probes in MP

The notification has been published by the state government in compliance with the implementation of the newly introduced Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) criminal code law.
THE CBI will need to obtain consent of the Madhya Pradesh government to conduct any investigations within its jurisdiction in BJP-ruled Madhya Pradesh. A notification to this effect was published by the BJP-ruled state's home department on Thursday.
