A 17-year-old girl was stabbed multiple times, allegedly by a 20-year-old man, near the Kirbi Place bus stop in Delhi Cantonment on Sunday evening.

Girl stabbed multiple times in Delhi Cantt, fights for life

The incident, which took place in full public view, left both the victim and the accused injured, as the man later attacked himself after stabbing the girl, police said on Monday.

According to a senior police officer, the attack took place around 9:30 pm. The accused, identified as Amit, a resident of the Delhi Cantonment area, allegedly stabbed the girl in the neck and left side of her abdomen. A case under Section 109(1) (attempt to murder) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) has been registered at Delhi Cantonment police station, and further investigation is underway.
