Corruption rampant in state govt, says Siddu aide

CONGRESS MLA and CM's economic advisor Basavaraj Rayareddy on Wednesday claimed that corruption is rampant in implementation of development projects in the state.
"There is corruption in general administration. I have spoken in the Assembly about corruption and the need to curb it. I am telling the truth," the Congress leader told reporters.
His statement, "Karnataka is No 1 in corruption", he reportedly made at an official meeting in Koppal district on Tuesday created ripples in political circles and gave ammo to Opposition parties to slam the Siddaramaiah government over corruption.
