BJP retains 71 MLAs in first Maha list of 99

THE BJP on Sunday announced its first list of 99 candidates for the Maharashtra assembly polls on November 20, retaining 71 MLAs.

Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis will contest from Nagpur South West and state BJP chief Chandrashekhar Bawankule from Kamati. The party has repeated 40 MLAs, reportedly facing anti-incumbency. Three MLAs -- Bharati Lavekar, Sunil Rane and Parag Shah -- have been dropped.
