'Appeasement politics' back in Sambhal

THE shift in the demography of the communally sensitive Sambhal in western UP mentioned in the report of the judicial panel regarding the November 2024 violence has kicked up a storm in the political corridors of the state, with the right-wing outfits and the ruling BJP attributing it to the 'appeasement politics' pursued by the previous regimes, including that of the Samajwadi Party (SP) and the Congress.
The three-member Judicial Commission, headed by an Allahabad HC judge, had on Thursday submitted its 450-page report on the reasons of communal violence which had rocked Sambhal.
