854 criminals arrested in ‘largest-ever’ action on organised crime in 2 days

IN its ‘largest-ever’ crackdown on organised crime, the Delhi Police arrested 854 criminals, including 280 gangsters, during a 48-hour multi-state operation codenamed ‘Operation Gang Bust’, officials said.
The massive operation targeted gangsters, contract shooters, drug traffickers, and members of organized criminal networks operating across North India. It was carried out simultaneously across five states—Delhi, Harya-na, Rajasthan, Punjab, and Himachal Pradesh—with nearly 9,000 police personnel deployed on the ground. Raids were conducted at 4,299 locations, including suspected hideouts, safe houses, and areas known for gang-related activity.
