11-yr-old mixed pesticide in K'taka school water: Probe

THE investigation into the shocking incident of pesticide being mixed into the water tank of a lower primary school at Hoovinakone in Hosanagara taluk of Shivamogga district has revealed a startling fact:
The main accused is an 11-year-old boy studying in 5th standard at the same school. The police said the boy had been made a leader at the school, but nobody followed his instructions. Around 15 days ago, a student from the 2nd standard had allegedly mixed phenol into a classmate's drinking water bottle.
Drawing idea from that incident, the boy reportedly planned to mix pesticide into the school's water tank.
