The UN Security Council exists precisely to prevent such unilateral, aggressive acts of war by one state against another. By bypassing it entirely, the US has declared itself judge, jury, and executioner, reducing the foundational principles of the postwar world to ashes. This is not diplomacy; it is the law of the jungle.
