Work begins on new housing estate

CONSTRUCTION has begun on a fresh housing development as part of an ambitious project to deliver more affordable homes across County Durham.

‘The newest project in Burnhope features 32 council properties on Greenwood Avenue. A combination of two-bedroom bungalows plus two, three and four-bedroom houses will be constructed to cater for the requirements of families, elderly residents, and couples.
