Victory for Reform UK in county by-election

REFORM UK has bolstered its majority on Durham County Council following a by-election victory.
-
Louise Penders triumphed in the Easington and Shotton poll on Thursday, securing a comfortable majority of 685 over Labour.
The by-election was triggered by the resignation of former Reform councillor John Bailey earlier due to illness. The ward underwent resizing as part of boundary changes ahead of the local elections in May.
