Thief is on ‘the naughty list’

A serial thief's solicitor said he was “on the naughty, not nice list” in his bid to get housing over Christmas after he was caught shoplifting yet again.

Garry Miller has 143 offences on his appalling record and only got out of prison in October when he decided to help himself to festive chocolate from Fenwick.
A court heard that the 31-year-old made off with £51 worth of confectionary from the store’s Christmas Shop, in Newcastle city centre, earlier this week.
