Sunderland 'lucky' to get free kick that led to winner

SUNDERLAND should not have been awarded the free-kick that led to their winner at Nottingham Forest.

That is the view of former Premier League referee Dermot Gallagher, who said Sunderland were fortunate to be awarded the decision from which Omar Alderete scored the game's only goal at the City Ground on Saturday.
Alderete converted Granit Xhaka's delivery after the referee penalised and booked Nicolas Dominguez, who had challenged Trai Hume for a loose ball.
