NO NEED FOR PANIC, SAYS FORMER LIONESSES CHAMPION
-
FORMER England midfielder Jill Scott says there is no need to reach “panic stations” ahead of England’s crunch Euro 2025 game with the Netherlands.
The Lionesses’ hopes of retaining their European Championship title could be over if they lose to the Dutch in Zurich this evening after Saturday’s opening defeat by France in Group D.
The fallout to that 2-1 loss has been strong, but Sunderland-born Scott is backing Sarina Wiegman’s side to come good and keep their campaign alive.
"I one-hundred per cent think there has been an overreaction," the 2022 Euros champion, pictured, told the PA news agency.

We'll right the wrongs: Sam
RUGBY UNION Sam Underhill insists England must block out the outside noise as they look to regroup in time for the next assignment of a Guinness Six Nations that has unravelled after only three rounds. Ireland's record 42-21 victory at Allianz Stadium that followed an equally emphatic defeat by Scotland at Murrayfield has removed Steve Borthwick's team from title contention just a fortnight after they set out to seize France's crown. An inept performance has been universally criticised and Underhill insists England must stay united ahead of their clash with a vastly improved Italy on March 7, a fixture ripe for a Stadio Olimpico shock.
