Proposal for children's home on empty plot

AN application has been lodged to convert a vacant plot in Winlaton into a children’s home.

Acedia Care has submitted plans for three assisted living homes for a brownfield site, on the corner of Litchfield Lane and Blaydon Bank.

The new facilities, pending approval, would house children and young people with learning disabilities, learning difficulties and similar care requirements.
