Outdoor adventure centre looks to transform

A WHICKHAM outdoor adventure centre has applied to convert a series of dilapidated cottages into new overnight dorms for kids, including disabled friendly spaces.
Gateshead Council has received proposals from Whickham Thorns Outdoor Activity Centre to transform a number of cottages on the site into new overnight accommodation for children.
The proposals also call for one design to help kids who are not able-bodied kids enjoy the outdoors. The site currently offers a range of activities for kids ranging from climbing, and bush craft to assault courses and mountain biking.
