Merchant Park facility set to create 1,100 jobs

A DEVELOPMENT that aims to create 1,100 jobs has taken a step forward with the completion of its first development.
The Merchant Park development at Newton Aycliffe, County Durham, has been made possible with a seven-figure debt package from the North East Property Fund.
The fund backed by the North East Combined Authority is delivered through FW Capital.
Merchant Park, a 65-acre development at Aycliffe Business Park, is one of the largest inward investment manufacturing developments in the region in recent years. Work has been completed on a 54,000 sq ft warehouse development with two larger developments to come.
North East Mayor Kim McGuinness visited the site to meet the development team.
