DELIVERY app Just Eat has agreed to take space at one of the region's newest office buildings.

- GRAEME WHITFIELD

The company, which has had a customer service base at Rainton Bridge in Sunderland since 2021, has signed a 10-year lease on more than 18,000sq ft of office space in Maker, one of two new offices being built at Riverside Sunderland.

Fit out of the offices is under way, with Just Eat having committed to take the entire fifth floor of the Maker building, along with part of the fourth floor and a terrace space that boasts views over the River Wear and out to sea.

Construction on the building and the adjoining Faber block behind Sunderland's new City Hall began in 2021 as part of the £100m Riverside Sunderland backed by investment group L&G.
