THOSE interested in the continued operation of the region's heritage sites will have been alarmed by English Heritage's decision to close Prudhoe Castle, which was revealed earlier this week.

It has now emerged that changes affecting access to two further Northumberland sites, Aydon Castle and Brinkburn Priory, are also to be made.
