Heed boss hits out at hectic holiday schedule

ALUN Armstrong has hit out at the National League Bank Holiday weekend schedule as his side prepare to face Yeovil Town today just 48 hours after their home win against Tamworth.

The Heed bounced back from their heavy midweek defeat at Rochdale as a brace from on-loan Doncaster Rovers midfielder Will Flint helped them to a 2-1 win at the International Stadium on Saturday.

However, the victory came at a cost to Armstrong (right) as summer signing Dom Telford and key defender Joe Grayson both limped out of the action during the opening 45 minutes.

The Heed squad made the long journey to Yeovil yesterday in preparation for this afternoon’s meeting at Huish Park and there are major doubts whether either player will be available to face the Glovers.
