Electronics firm invests to boost its production

ELECTRONICS manufacturer Arian EMS has invested almost £500,000 in new equipment it says will significantly ramp up its capabilities.
The Ashington-based specialist in circuit board design supplies customers in the aviation, automotive, health and safety, security and medical industries.
Its latest investment has brought state-of-the-art surface mount technology equipment to its 16,000sqft factory at Wansbeck Business Park where it employs about 40 people.
The self-financed purchases of a Panasonic NPM-W2 machine and a Panasonic AM100 system will mean the firm can offer more rapid turnaround times to clients and will help it win more contracts in the defence and aviation industries where speed and quality are important.
